Our introductory clay pottery classes are a brilliant way to get a feel for working with clay on the manual wheel ie HANDBUILDING, a practice which is to build your foundation. We encourage private lessons as both an excellent start for beginners to develop their practice. Each participant will have their own space and be carefully taught through the process by our artist tutor, JC. We also welcome you to form your own group to get started.

IF you prefer WHEEL THROWING. You will need to set aside at least 2 sessions (min) for throwing, Trimming and Glazing.

Whether you book our pottery making workshop for yourself or a group of friends this is a wonderfully social and spirited introduction to the joys of clay building. You will learn how to mold the clay – handle the clay – as well as hand build an object as planned in the class. This is an uplifting, inspiring experience.

These pottery classes take place within our Studio Poppy teaching space. Please note that if you are a beginner, our ethos is such that focus is on tuition. The glazing and firing of vessels will arrive at a later stage of your practice (+ 45mins)….

Total time duration per pottery making workshop is 2hrs. Book your class and once the booking gets through, we will call you to fix a date you desire.
